Video to Audio Lab is an offline media tool published by TheYourList. This page explains exactly what leaves your device and what does not.
1. Your media never leaves your device
All decoding, encoding, trimming and mixing happens on your phone using Android's own media codecs and a bundled copy of libmp3lame. We operate no servers that receive your files. We never upload, copy, read or store your videos, audio files, file names, folder paths or cover art.
Source files are chosen through the Android system document picker, which grants the app access to that one file only. The app does not scan your storage.
2. What the app does collect
The app includes Google Analytics for Firebase to understand which tools are used and where conversions fail. The events it sends are limited to:
- which screen or tool was opened;
- whether a conversion finished or failed, and the output format and bitrate;
- whether the paywall was opened, and what opened it;
- whether a lifetime unlock was purchased;
- a flag recording whether the lifetime unlock is active.
These events carry no file names, no paths, no media durations and nothing you typed. Firebase additionally collects standard technical data such as an app instance identifier, device model, operating system version, country and language.
3. Advertising
The free version shows ads supplied by Unity Ads. Unity receives your device's advertising identifier and technical data about the device in order to select and measure ads. We do not send Unity any information about your media or your use of individual tools.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Buying the lifetime unlock removes all ads and stops Unity's SDK from being used.
4. Purchases
The lifetime unlock is sold through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment; we never see or store your card details, billing address or Google account. The app stores only a local flag recording that the unlock is owned, and re-checks that against Google Play.

We do not sell personal data, and we share nothing beyond the table above.
6. Permissions
- Read audio files — to open audio you pick for the editing tools.
- Microphone — only while you are using the voice recorder; requested at the moment you tap record.
- Modify system settings — only if you choose to set a result as a ringtone.
- Internet and network state — for ads and analytics only.
The app does not request access to your photo or video library, contacts, location, call logs or messages.
7. Children
The app is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your choices
- Reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.
- Buy the lifetime unlock to remove ads entirely.
- Uninstall the app to delete everything it stored locally.
- Email us to request deletion of analytics data associated with your app instance.
9. Changes
If we add an SDK or start collecting something new, this page is updated before the version that does so is released.
